ERPNext & Frappe services

ERPNext consulting for US businesses

Turn uncertain requirements into a clear ERP plan. We map your processes, identify gaps and agree what to build first.

01 / The service

Consulting, built around your business.

ERPNext consulting helps US businesses decide how their processes, people and data should work together before implementation. Solufy delivers discovery remotely from India, with meeting times and decision owners agreed during scoping.

An ERP project starts with business decisions. Which processes need to change? Which records can you trust? What should the first release make easier for your team? Consulting helps turn those questions into a practical plan before configuration or development begins.

We work through your current operation with the people who handle it every day. That can include purchasing, sales, stock, production, finance or the approval steps between departments. We record the normal flow and the exceptions: missing information, corrections, delays and decisions that depend on one person.

The next step is a fit-gap review. We separate requirements that can be met through standard configuration from those that need a custom workflow, integration or application. You can then compare effort, dependencies and business importance rather than treating every request as equally urgent.

The engagement ends with an agreed set of findings and next steps. Whether you are evaluating ERPNext, improving an existing setup or preparing a larger implementation, the aim is a scope your team can understand, discuss and test.

02 / Scope

What’s included.

We agree the scope with you before work begins. These are the areas we can cover.

Process discovery

Map the transactions, approvals and handovers that connect your departments. Include the exceptions and corrections that a standard process diagram often misses.

Existing-system review

Review your current ERPNext configuration, custom applications and operating practices to identify where a problem comes from before recommending a change.

Fit-gap analysis

Compare the required workflows with standard functionality. Identify which needs are configuration choices and which require additional development or integration.

Data readiness

Identify source records, data owners, duplicates and opening-balance questions. Establish what must be prepared before a migration can be tested.

Reporting and controls

Agree who needs each report, what decisions it supports and which totals must reconcile. Review approvals and access alongside the reporting requirements.

Phased delivery planning

Group the work into useful releases. Record priorities, dependencies and acceptance examples so the first phase has a clear boundary.

03 / Our approach

Start with the problem. Agree the next step.

Where work gets difficult

A module list is not a delivery plan. Without agreed requirements, teams can approve a system that works in a demonstration but does not cover the transactions, controls and reports they depend on.

We use real examples to define requirements and acceptance checks. Open decisions are recorded with an owner, while configuration, development and data preparation are planned separately. The result is a phased scope with visible assumptions and dependencies.

04 / Working together

A clear process, from first conversation to handover.

  1. Understand your starting point

Discuss your objectives, current systems and immediate concerns. Agree the departments and workflows the review should cover.

  2. Work through real examples

Run discovery sessions with process owners and inspect representative transactions, reports and exceptions.

  3. Review the findings together

Walk through the fit-gap assessment, data risks and possible delivery options. Resolve assumptions or assign an owner to each open question.

  4. Agree the roadmap

Define the first release, its acceptance checks and the preparation needed from both teams. Plan later improvements separately.

05 / Benefits

What your team takes away.

A shared view of the operation

A documented process map and requirement register that business owners and the delivery team can review together.

Visible choices and trade-offs

A fit-gap assessment that explains the proposed configuration, custom work and integration requirements without hiding unresolved decisions.

A practical next step

A phased roadmap with agreed priorities, responsibilities and acceptance checks. Estimates are prepared against the defined scope.

06 / A little clarity

Common questions.

Can you review an ERPNext system we already use?

Yes. We can review the existing setup and the workflows causing difficulty. Access, review depth and any follow-on changes are agreed as part of the engagement.

What should we prepare for discovery?

Bring examples of the transactions, reports and exceptions that matter to your team, along with a list of process owners and current applications. Sensitive data can be removed from examples.

Do we need to start implementation immediately?

No. Consulting can be scoped as a separate review. You can use the findings to decide priorities and assess the next phase before committing to implementation.

When can you provide an estimate?

A useful estimate depends on the processes, data and custom work involved. We first define the scope and assumptions, then discuss the delivery plan and estimate with you.

What does an ERPNext consultant do for a US business?

An ERPNext consultant maps existing processes, reviews standard ERPNext capabilities, identifies gaps and defines a delivery plan. Typical outputs include process decisions, data responsibilities, integration requirements and business-owned acceptance checks.

How should I choose an ERPNext implementation partner?

Ask for relevant project examples, the proposed delivery team, a written scope, responsibility for data migration, testing and training, and a clear support agreement. Review actual case studies rather than relying on a geographic keyword or an unsupported certification claim.
