ERPNext & Frappe services

ERPNext support for US businesses

Keep daily work moving after launch. We investigate issues, maintain your ERPNext setup and plan improvements with your team.

01 / The service

Support, built around your business.

Our ERPNext support service helps US businesses investigate operational issues and plan maintenance. We agree the supported applications, reporting channels, issue priorities, access and coverage before work starts. Remote delivery from India does not imply US-based staff or round-the-clock response.

Support helps your team keep using ERPNext when a transaction fails, a report does not reconcile or a workflow needs attention. We start by understanding the business impact and reproducing the issue before deciding what to change.

An effective support arrangement defines responsibilities as well as response expectations. We agree the systems covered, access requirements, reporting channel and issue priorities. Maintenance, development requests and infrastructure work are identified separately where they need a different scope.

Investigation follows the evidence. We review the affected records, permissions, configuration and relevant logs, then test a proposed correction against the original scenario. Where a workaround is needed, its limits and follow-up work should be visible to the process owner.

Longer-term support also creates a record of recurring issues and useful improvements. Release checks, maintenance planning and team guidance can then be based on the problems your operation actually encounters rather than a generic list of changes.

02 / Scope

What’s included.

We agree the scope with you before work begins. These are the areas we can cover.

Issue investigation

Review the affected transaction, error message and business impact. Reproduce the problem where possible before proposing a correction.

Configuration and access review

Check whether document settings, permissions, customizations or the operating process explain the reported behavior.

Fix validation

Test proposed changes against the original issue and related scenarios so the team can review the result before release.

Maintenance planning

Scope application updates, backups or environment checks with the people responsible for the installation and infrastructure.

User guidance

Help users understand the correct workflow and record practical instructions for issues that arise from unclear operating steps.

Improvement backlog

Separate incidents from larger changes. Record recurring problems, proposed improvements and the decisions needed to plan the next work.

03 / Our approach

Start with the problem. Agree the next step.

Where work gets difficult

A support request can stall when it lacks an example, a clear impact or the access needed to investigate. Unrecorded workarounds can also leave users repeating the same problem without a permanent decision.

We agree a reporting and prioritisation process, collect the evidence needed to reproduce an issue and test fixes before release. Response targets, availability and launch or maintenance coverage are defined in the support agreement rather than assumed.

04 / Working together

A clear process, from first conversation to handover.

  1. Agree the support scope

Review the installation, custom applications, access and responsibilities. Define coverage, priorities and communication arrangements.

  2. Triage the request

Collect the affected records, steps, error details and business impact, then agree the next investigation action.

  3. Investigate and validate

Reproduce the behavior, review the cause and test the proposed fix or workaround with the relevant owner.

  4. Release and follow up

Deploy through the agreed process, record the resolution and review recurring issues or any remaining improvement work.

05 / Benefits

What your team takes away.

A clear route for reporting issues

Agreed channels, priorities and responsibilities so your team knows how to raise and follow up a problem.

Traceable investigation and corrections

A record of the issue, findings, workaround or fix, and the checks used to review the result.

A more useful maintenance plan

A backlog informed by recurring issues and operational needs, with larger changes scoped separately.

06 / A little clarity

Common questions.

What response time do you promise?

Response targets, service hours and escalation arrangements depend on the support agreement. They are agreed explicitly; this page does not set a fixed response or uptime SLA.

Can you support a setup built by another team?

We can review the installation and custom applications first. Support scope depends on access, documentation, versions and the condition of the existing setup.

Does support include new development?

Incident support and larger enhancements are different types of work. The agreement defines what is included and how new development is assessed and estimated.

How should we report an issue?

Include the steps, affected document or report, error details and business impact. Avoid sharing passwords or sensitive records through an unsecured channel; access arrangements should be agreed separately.

What can an ERPNext maintenance agreement include?

An agreed maintenance scope can cover issue triage, configuration review, tested fixes, release planning and user guidance. Hosting, backups, monitoring, security updates, custom development and response times must be explicitly included rather than assumed.

How can a US company upgrade ERPNext safely?

Inventory installed apps and customizations, verify backups and restoration, test the target version in a separate environment and rehearse critical business transactions. Agree a rollback plan and cutover window before production changes. Your hosting provider and delivery team should confirm responsibilities.

Can you improve ERPNext performance?

We can investigate slow workflows by reviewing reproducible examples, request timings, background jobs, database queries, custom code and infrastructure limits. Proposed changes should be measured against the same scenarios. A performance result or uptime target is agreed only after assessment.
